Karen Malik
Karen is recognized both nationally and internationally as a uniquely gifted workshop/retreat facilitator, therapist and healer. She has had the honor of studying with and receiving teachings from many spiritual teachers, Native American elders, and contemporary leaders in the consciousness field as well as the complementary/mind-body healing arts. She is also a long-time student of A.H. Almaas’ The Diamond Approach.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and is licensed in the State of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT #42895). She is a Senior Fellow with the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America and Biofeedback Practitioner (#863), a certified Holoenergetic Practitioner and holds Credentials of Ministry with the Center for Spiritual Healing in Tiburon, California.
Karen has served on the board and is past president of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM), an organization devoted to increasing dialogue among clinicians, healers and the scientific and medical communities as well as documenting and giving scientific credibility for subtle-energy applications. She also serves on the board and is past president of the Cross Cultural Studies Program (CCSP), a nonprofit organization that supports the preservation and cross-cultural understanding between indigenous and modern cultures.
Karen worked with The Monroe Institute (TMI) from 1977 – 2013. She is one of TMI’s original trainers. For over 36 years she played a key role in the overall development of TMI and it’s programs in expanded states of awareness and the exploration of consciousness. During her tenure she served as Director of the Western Division of The Monroe Institute, Director of the National Coordinators Program, Director of Development, Ambassador at Large and was Senior Residential Facilitator.
Karen’s work in the consciousness field extends both nationally and internationally. As a Transpersonal Guide, Mentor and Therapist, she works with both individuals and groups who are interested in the fulfillment of their personal and spiritual potential.
